Certeasy is now Hortval

Certeasy has been renamed Hortval. Same product, same team, same company behind it. Only the name has changed.

Why the change

"Certeasy" turned out to be a name shared by other, unrelated products. To avoid any ambiguity and build on a name that is unmistakably ours, we filed Hortval as a trademark before growing further. Hortval is published by Safe Pic Technologies, the same company that built Certeasy.

What changes for you

Nothing that affects a running deployment.

• Your existing installation keeps working. Current versions continue to operate normally.
• Your license, your contract and your terms are unchanged.
• The documentation for your version stays available through the version selector in the documentation.
• The technical rename (binary, paths, endpoints) ships gradually with version 0.9.5, with backward compatibility and a deprecation window. Nothing breaks on upgrade.
